Resolute Calabasas Law Firm Supports Employees in Workplace Disputes

Litigator takes on discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination claims against California employers

Saucedo Law Group in Calabasas protects employees who have experienced discrimination, sexual harassment and other forms of unfair treatment. Since 2019, I have represented clients throughout Los Angeles, Ventura and surrounding counties. As a U.S. Marine prior to entering the legal profession, I bring a strong determination to achieve justice for clients whose rights are violated in the workplace. At my law firm, we are passionate about helping California workers achieve positive outcomes through litigation and other types of dispute resolution.

Steadfast attorney assists victims of harassment and discrimination

You have rights in the workplace, including the right not to be sexually harassed or discriminated against. Both women and men are protected by sexual harassment laws. Federal and state laws also outlaw discrimination based on gender, race, color, age, religion, disability and other characteristics. These forms of discrimination can be subtle, which can make them hard to prove. I will carefully examine all the evidence and bring all the necessary resources to bear on proving your harassment or discrimination complaint.

Diligent lawyer handles wrongful termination cases

California is an at-will employment state, which means, in general, employees can be let go at any time and for any reason, or for no reason at all. But there are exceptions to at-will employment that may warrant a wrongful termination lawsuit if you are fired. For example, you can’t be retaliated against and fired for reporting sexual harassment or discrimination in the workplace, or for blowing the whistle on an employer’s illegal activities. Public employees, employees under contract and union members with cause-only clauses in their collective bargaining agreements also cannot be fired at will. If you believe you were wrongfully terminated, I can advise you of your legal options.

Employment law counselor assists in wage and overtime conflicts

When you go to work for an employer, you expect to be paid the agreed-upon salary, which is either at least the minimum wage in the state or the amount agreed upon when you were hired. If you are paid less than you are owed, you can bring a legal claim for unpaid wages. Also, if you are classified as a non-exempt employee, you are entitled to overtime pay at one-and-a-half times your regular pay rate when you work beyond 40 hours in a single week. Sometimes employers misclassify nonexempt employees as exempt. If you believe you have been misclassified and have worked overtime, you may be able to collect overtime pay. I will bring my in-depth knowledge of state and federal wage and hour laws to representing you in your unpaid wages or overtime matter.
